หลักสูตรวิศวกรรมศาสตรมหาบัณฑิต สาขาวิชาระบบขนส่งทางราง (หลักสูตรนานาชาติ) มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล เป็นหลักสูตรระยะ 2 ปี แต่ละวิชาจะเปิดสอนทุกวันธรรมดา (จันทร์-ศุกร์) เป็นเวลาราว 2 สัปดาห์ จัดการเรียนการสอนเป็นภาษาอังกฤษโดยบุคลากรผู้เชี่ยวชาญในแต่ละแขนงของกลุ่มสาขาฯ และผู้เชี่ยวชาญจากต่างประเทศ หลักสูตรของกลุ่มสาขาฯ มีแกนหลักในการวางแผน การดำเนินงาน และการบริหารจัดการ พร้อมทั้งรายวิชาระบบรางที่มุ่งเน้นด้านต่างๆ ได้แก่ วิศวกรรมขนส่ง วิศวกรรมอุตสาหการและวัสดุ วิศวกรรมโยธา วิศวกรรมไฟฟ้า และวิศวกรรมเครื่องกล
