On 20 January 2018, Visiting Prof. Dr. Ranjna Jindal, Program Director of International PhD Program in Environmental & Water Resources Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, was elected as the first Vice President of the newly established Asian Institute of Technology Alumni Association-South East Asia Chapter (AITAA-SEA) during its second general meeting.
Prof. Ranjna, an AIT Alumna since 1982 (M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering) and then in 1995 (D.Tech.Sc. in Environmental Engineering), has been trying to establish such chapter of the very powerful global organization of AITAA to cater the needs of the international alumni of AIT working and residing in Thailand. The first President of AITAA-SEA Chapter is Dr. M.L. Duminda, and AIT Alumnus since 2012 (D. Eng. in Environmental Engineering).
