After being certified as the Water Footprint Trainer by UNEP and MTEC from “Train the Trainers Workshop on Water Footprint” in 2013, on 22 July and 25 September 2015 Dr. Trakarn Prapaspongsa from Eco-Efficient Engineering Research Lab (ECO-LAB), International Graduate Programs in Environmental and Water Resources Engineering, Mahidol University and Dr. Thapat Silalertruksa from Joint Graduate School of Energy and Environment, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi have trained around 60 officers from Offices of Agricultural Economics (OAE), Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives of the Kingdom of Thailand to understand Water Footprint Assessment Methodology according to ISO 14046 (ISO, 2014). The aim of this training was to facilitate OAE officers to understand basic methodology and to be able to assess water scarcity footprint of agricultural products in Thailand in the future. The training programs in 2015 were provided under the project entitled “Establishment of Water Footprint Inventory Database of Agricultural Products” of Centre of Excellence on enVironmental strategy for GREEN business (VGREEN), Kasetsart University funded by Offices of Agricultural Economics.
