Internships are paid/unpaid positions providing students with practical experience. Factory/company corporations employ interns during the summer semester. Students can earn work experience by participating in an internship.
Internships not only allow students the opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills in a
professional setting while still in school but also offer carefully planned and monitored work experience with the goal being to gain additional knowledge from on the job exposure. Internships are part of the mechanical engineering program in which students can earn academic credits.
