Masters Program | Ph.D. Program


Masters Admission Requirements

  • Students must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any field of Engineering or Science.
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.50.
  • Exceptions to the above items may be made by the Administrative Program Committee and the Dean of Faculty of Graduate Studies.

Tuition and Fees

The total estimated tuition and fees toward the degree is 270,000 baht.

Financial Aid

Several scholarships are available for students with outstanding academic records. The scholarships may cover part of the tuition fees and/or living expenses. Faculty of graduate studies also offers several scholarships.

How to Apply

Applications are handled by the Faculty of Graduate Studies but the process is different for Thai and International applicants. Generally,  the procedure for international applicants is somewhat simpler and requires less documents. The Public Sector and International Relations Office is a division within the Faculty of Graduate Studies that takes care of the admission of international applicants.

International Applicants

Documents Required for Application includes:
- Application Form
- 2 Letters of Recommendations
- Recent Photographs
- 2 Copies of Official Academic Transcript for Bachelor degree(s)
- English Proficiency Exam Score (such as TOEFL or IELTS)
- 2 Copies of Statement of Purposes (100-150 words) describing your study plan, research interests, career goals, etc...

Mailing Your Application:
It is recommended that you mail your application using a service that provides a tracking number, such as registered mail or courier services like FedEx or DHL. Please put everything in one large envelope and mail it to:

International Applicants

International applicants may submit their application at any time.

Admission Procedure


Thai Applicants
  1. Application is received by the Faculty of Graduate Studies. (during the admission period)
  2. Faculty of Graduate Studies notify the student that the application form has been received, and the date/place of written examination.
  3. Student takes the written examination.
  4. Faculty of Graduate Studies forwards the application form and test scores to the Program Selection Committee.
  5. Program Selection Committee considers the application and makes a decision, then notify the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
  6. Faculty of Graduate Studies announces the students eligible for an interview.
  7. Student comes in for an interview
  8. Program Selection Committee makes a final decision, then notify the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
  9. Student confirms and registers for classes.
     
International Applicants
  1. Application is received by the Public Sector and International Relations Unit, Faculty of Graduate Studies. (can apply online)
  2. Faculty of Graduate Studies forwards the application form to Program Selection Committee. (~3 days)
  3. Program Selection Committee considers the application and makes a decision (~1 month), then notify the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
  4. If accepted, the student will receive a letter of acceptance, confirmation form for registration, life insurance form, and Guidebook for international students.
  5. Public Sector and International Relations Unit informs local Thai Consulate to facilitate applicant for visa application.
  6. Public Sector and International Relations Unit confirms the date of arrival with student and arranges for airport pick-up.
  7. Student arrives.
  8. Student receives medical exam. (as part of the health insurance)
  9. Student reports to the Program and registers for classes.

What to Do After Being Admitted


Thai Applicants

Faculty of Graduate Studies will send you a package containing post-admission instructions.

Students are advised to come and discuss the research possibilities with faculty advisors of the program as soon as possible.
 

International Applicants

Public Sector and International Relations Office of the Faculty of Graduate Studies will send you a package containing post-admission instructions including Letter to Thai consulate for application of visa and general information about the university, curriculums, etc...

The admitted students should contact the Public Sector and International Relations Office to arrange for airport pickup and accommodations. Students should arrive at least 1-2 weeks before the first day of classes to allow enough time to settle. 

Normally, the Faculty of Graduate Studies has an international student orientation in the beginning of June. International students will have a chance to meet with others international students/staff in the university.


Ph.D. Admission Requirements

Plan 1.1 (Research Only)

  1. Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in any field of Engineering or Science from institutions accredited by Office of Higher Education Commission.
  2. Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50.
  3. Must have English score according to the requirement by the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
  4. Must exhibit experience and readiness to work as independent researcher at the doctoral level.  Should have the evidence through research proposal in English. And have at least one publication either in an academic journal or presented at the international conference with the proceedings.
  5. Exceptions to the above items may be made by the Program Administrative Committee and the Dean of Faculty of Graduate Studies.

  1. Students must hold a Master’s degree in any field of Engineering or Science from institutions accredited by Office of Higher Education Commission.
