Laboratory facilities
Classes with hands-on practices are taught in the laboratories belonging to the Department. Only EGCO111 Computer Programming classes are taught in the common Computer Laboratories and EGEE241 Engineering Electronics Laboratory classes are taught in Electronic Laboratories. Laboratory rooms of Computer Engineering have multiple equipment/documentation cabinets to store lab tools and related lab test equipment and materials. Most rooms have workstations and a seating capacity of 40 students.

The Digital Forensics and Innovation Training Center (DFIT) has been established since 2010 at Computer Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University (Salaya Campus). The primary goals of DFIT are to research and develop innovation in Computer, Network, and Mobile device forensics, as well as to provide knowledge on digital evidence acquisition, investigation, and analyzing to public and government sectors. DFIT is fully equipped and specializes in all forms of digital forensics including computer forensics, network logs and traffics, cyber forensics and data recovery.
Computer Laboratory (6272) The room 6272 has 41 personal computers with Windows 10 operating systems and 21.5-inch LCD monitors. Most of the programming courses use this room for teaching purposes. The software to be installed in the PCs can be requested by the course instructors at the beginning of each semester.
Embedded Laboratory & Digital Circuit Laboratory (6273) Embedded Laboratory has 41 desktop PCs with Windows10 operating system, UPS, and 21.5-inch LCD monitors. Raspberry Pi 3 Model B (36 boards), Raspberry Pi 4 (38 boards), memory storage, power supply, LED, button, and basic sensors, i.e., temperature sensor, force sensor, or accelerometer sensor, are provided for teaching the courses of the EGCO334 Microprocessor and Interfacing, and EGCO332 Embedded System. In addition, network switch is provided for simulating the internet of things applications.
i-Cube Lab: Image Information and Intelligence Laboratory was established to support research in image processing big data processing and the development of artificial intelligence systems as well as the development of related platforms and applications. This covers the technical level of both software and hardware. It focuses on creating and developing research that can respond to the needs of the government, private sector and related industries.
