Energy and Green Catalysis Research Unit (EGCAT)
Energy and Green Catalysis Laboratory pursues research and development on synthesis and processing of materials for catalysis in biorefinery, petrorefinery and CO2 utilization, in particular, biomass conversion to various value products, including biodiesel, green diesel, bio-jet fuels, biochemicals, biochar, and activated carbon, as well as CO2 conversion to methane and methanol. We design and optimize catalytic reactors in both packed-bed and structured systems, operated by batch or continuous modes at normal or high pressure/temperature. This laboratory is located in Room CH112, Engineering Building 2.
